Government won’t think twice to change decisions for the betterment of the public – Minister Faiszer Musthapha

Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government Faiszer Musthapha says that the government won’t think twice to change decisions taken by them for the betterment of the public.  Minister expressed these views attending as the chief guest for a opening ceremony of a multi-purpose building for Badulla Pradeshiya Sabha. Minister of Civil Aviation Nimal Siripala De Silva, Chief Minister of Uva Province Chamara Sampath Dasanayaka, regional politicians, and officers attended the ceremony.
The multi-purpose building was constructed spending 46 million rupees and it was a project of ‘Pura Neguma’ programme carried out by the Ministry of Provincial Councils and Local Government. The building is consisted of a 4,775 ft ground floor, a 5,820 ft first floor, and a 1,537 ft second floor. A Prdeshiya Sabha office, Community hall, a library and an Ayuruwedic clinic is included for the new building.
Expressing his views at the ceremony, Minister Musthapha said “Under the Pura Neguma programme, we have given 16 projects to Uva Province, and each project costs 50 million rupees. A project to distribute clean drinking water has also been handed over to Uva province. And that project costs 1,800 million rupees. As the present government is consensual, we have been able to assist SLFPers also. If not, we would have been lost for 05 years. Though some individuals make different complaints, I declare with responsibility that a lot of work is being done by the present government. Any SLFPer would like to make a SLFP government. But H.E. the president has made a promise for the public that the priority will be given for the country. Accordingly, the priority will always be given for the country in this consensual government. Present government is a listening ear for the public and has change it’s decisions for the betterment of the public. Because this government is community friendly. Some governments were afraid and ashamed of changing the decisions they have already made. But we, being part of the government, fight to make community friendly decisions and have changed strong decisions even regarding the budget. I declare with responsibility that we SLFPers are always dedicated to make decisions and work for the betterment of the public.”
