யாழ்ப்பாணத்தில் வசிக்கும் நாம் 1990ஆம் ஆண்டு கொடூரமாக வெளியேற்றப்பட்ட முஸ்லிம் மக்களின் துயரங்களை விளங்கி, போருக்குப் பின் யாழ்ப்பாண முஸ்லிம்களுடைய மீள்குடியேற்றத்துக்காகவும் சகவாழ்வுக்காகவும் பல்வேறுபட்ட இனங்கள், மதங்களைச் சேர்ந்தவர்கள் என்ற வகையில் செயற்பட்டு வருகின்றோம்.
இனவாத, மதவாத அடிப்படையிலான அணிதிரட்டல்கள் மீண்டும் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட மக்களைப் பாதிக்கலாம் என்ற அச்சம் இருக்கின்றது. ஆகவே, அவ்வாறான பேரணிகளின் அபாயத்தை விளங்கிக் கொள்ளவேண்டும். எமது நாட்டினுடைய சோகமான வரலாற்றை உணர்ந்து, மீண்டும் எழுந்துவரும் பிரிவினைவாத செயற்பாட்டை புறக்கணிக்கும்படி எமது நாட்டின் அனைத்து மக்களிடமும் கோருகிறோம்.
இங்கு இலங்கை அரசாங்கத்துக்கும் பாரிய ஒரு பொறுப்புள்ளது. பேரினவாத செயற்பாடுகளைக் கட்டுப்படுத்தி அனைத்து மக்களுடைய உரிமைகளையும் பாதுகாக்க வேண்டும். சமகால விளைவுகளால் பீதியில் முழ்கிப்போயிருக்கும் முஸ்லிம் சமூகத்துடன் இணைந்து அவர்களுடைய பயத்தை நீக்கி அவர்களுடைய உரிமைகளைப் பாதுகாப்பது எங்கள் அனைவருடைய ஜனநாயகப் பொறுப்பாகும்.

Mobilisation in Kandy, the Muslim Community in Fear and our Responsibility
We have condemned the targetting of the Muslim community after the Easter Sunday attacks and taken forward initiatives for coexistence. In this context, the mobilisation in Kandy to be organised on 7th July 2019 has created widespread fear amongst the Muslim community. The circulation of hateful discourses and riots against the Muslims in recent times have occurred in the backdrop of such regressive mobilisations.
As people of different ethnicities and faiths living in Jaffna, and having witnessed the hardships faced by Muslims who were forcefully evicted in 1990, we are working to ensure the resettlement of the Jaffna Muslims after the war and build the space for coexistence.
There is tremendous fear that mass gatherings inciting ethnic and religious divisions can once again devastate a particular community. Therefore, we must recognise the dangers inherent in such mobilisations. We call upon all people living in the country to recognise the tragic history of the country, and reject the divisive actions and politics on the rise.
The Government of Sri Lanka has an important duty at this time. Majoritarian activities must be controlled and the rights of all people must be safeguarded. We all have the democratic responsibility to extend our solidarity towards the Muslim community, work towards relieving their fear and protect their rights.

මහනුවර ජන ඒකරාශිකරණය හේතුවෙන් භීතියට පත්ව සිටින මුස්ලිම් ජනතාව සහ අපේ වගකීම.
පාස්කු ඉරිදා ප්රහාරයට පසුව මුස්ලිම් ජනතාවට එරෙහි වෙනස් කිරීම් හෙළා දකිමින් ද සහජීවනය ස`දහා වූ උත්සහයන්හි ද අපි දරමි් කටයුතු කරන්නෙමු. මෙම වාතාවරණය මත ජූලි මස 07වන දින මහනුවර න`ගරයෙහි සංවිධානය කර ඇති ජන ඒකරාශිකරණය මුස්ලීම් ජනතාව මත මහත් භීතියක් ඇති කර ඇත. මෑතක සිට මුස්ලිම් ජනතාවට එරෙහිව දියත් කෙරෙමින් පවතින වෛරයෙන් යුතු මතවාදයන් සහ කෝලාහල මෙවන් ප්රතිගාමි ජන ඒකරාශිකරණයන්හි පසුබිමෙහි නිර්මාණයවී පවතියි.
යාපනයෙහි වාසය කරන අපි 1990දී කුරිරු ලෙසින් පළවා හරින ලද මුස්ලිම් ජනතාවගේ වේදනාවන් තේරුම්ගෙන යුද්ධයට පසුව යාපනයෙහි මුස්ලිම් ජනතාවගේ නැවැත පදිංවිය වෙනුවෙන් ද සහජීවනය වෙනුවෙන් ද විවිධ ජාතින්ට සහ ආගම්ලට අයත් වූවන් ලෙසින් එක්ව ක්රියාකරමින් සිටින්නෙමු.
ජාතිවාදි සහ ආගම්වාදි ජන ඒකාරාශිකරණයන් නැවැතත් නිශ්චිත ජන කණ්ඩායමක් පීඩාවට පත් කරනු ඇත යන භය පවතියි. එහෙයින් එවැනි පෙළපාළිවල අනතුරුදායක බව තේරුම්ගත යුතුය. අපේ රටෙහි ශෝකජනක ඉතිහාසය තේරුම්ගෙන නැවැතත් ඉහළට නැෙ`ගන බෙදුම්වාදි ක්රියාකාරකම ප්රතික්ෂේප කරන මෙන් අපි රටෙහි සෑම ජනයාගෙන්ම ඉල්ලා සිටින්නෙමු.
මෙහිදී ලංකාවෙහි ආණ්ඩුවට මහත් වගකීමක් පවතියි. මහජාතිවාදි ක්රියාකාරකම් පාලනය කර සියලූම ජනතාවගේ අයිතින් ආරක්ෂා කළ යුතුය. මෑත කාලීන සිදුවීම් හේතුවෙන් භීතියට පත්ව සිටින මුස්ලිම් සමාජය සම`ග එක්ව ඔවුන්ගේ භීතිය නැතිකර ඔවුන්ගේ අයිතින් ආරක්ෂා කිරීම අප සැමගේ ප්රජාතන්ත්රීය වගකීම වෙයි.
