Meeting between Cuban Ambassador and NFF Leader Minister of Industries Wimal
Weerawansa discussed to mark the 61st anniversary of the arrival of Comrade Che Guevara from Cuba , the great revolutionary leader and met the Minister of Industry and his Ministry (October 8, 2020) .
Cuban Ambassador to Sri Lanka Juana Elena Ramos Rodriguez said she was delighted to this meeting with Sri Lanka's Minister Wimal Weerawansa
The Cuban Ambassador expressed confidence that Mr. Wimal Weerawansa would be able to play a pivotal role in Sri Lanka, similar to the era in which Comrade Che Guevara played an important role in building the Cuban industry.
Mr. Wimal Weerawansa said that it was commendable that socialist Cuba was on the brink of American imperialism at a time when world powers such as the United States were helpless in the face of the corvid 19 epidemic and US people and their country
Mr. Wimal Weerawansa said that it was commendable that socialist Cuba was on the brink of American imperialism at a time when world powers such as the United States were helpless in the face of the corona epidemic. The Minister also said that he had studied the revolutionary change that Comrade Che Guevara had made in the field of industry in Cuba by instilling confidence in the people of his country and directing them to local products.
Raoul Figueroa, First Secretary of the Embassy of Sri Lanka, Jeewantha Jayatissa, Coordinating Secretary of the Bolivarian Cooperation Movement in Sri Lanka and Anushka Gunasinghe, Chairman / Director General of the National Enterprise Development Authority were also present on the occasion.
